Excellent on-line Ground School for all new students or Rusty Pilots!First of all let me tell you I am learning so much from your Ground School Course! Half of this material was never covered in my original Flight School Ground School that I completed in 1997. Bravo to you for given us students/rusty pilots some leading edge aviation material. I can see that you put a lot of due diligent into this course. I would HIGHLY recommend this fun and interesting course to any student or rusty pilot who wants to be at the top of their game!

If a 16 year old girl can do it , I should be able to.I picked up Rods ground school course and hammered it out. Very in-depth teaching! And at 54 I passed with a 95%. One thing I can say is go slow and keep at it. The test time skip the bigger questions like weight and balance till last and then go back over the test and make sure you are comfortable with your answers. I came away with a very good knowledge base and more confident on my ability. Maybe someday I’ll take to actual flight lessons. Highly recommended course! Thanks again Rod!

67 Yr Old Scores a 100% on FAA Test After Taking Rod’s Course Rod I wanted to give you an update on my progress until after I took my check ride. I enrolled in your 40 hr Private Pilot eLearning Ground School course in 2021. I really enjoyed the course and the style of teaching you offer. It suites me well. I took the FAA Written Exam in August and scored a 100%. I think a lot of people may look at a private pilot course and be overwhelmed at all of the material you are required to know and give up. But this course makes learning fun. I began taking flying lessons in January 2022 and passed my check ride January 2023. Since I was a small child I thought it would be fun to fly a plane, but as I got older I didn’t have the money or the time. So at the age of 67 I set a goal to get my PPL and I finally achieved my dream this weekend. And the good Lord willing I will have many years to enjoy getting up and enjoy the privilege of flying. I hear people say take a young person flying, but I say take an old person up to fly. Thankfully my brother n law took me out to fly in his Champ and Cessna 170B two years ago and let me take the controls and I was hooked with the sense of freedom and stress free travel. Flying has turned out to be so much fun. So thank you for the course you have put together and I look forward to learning from other programs you have. Now my goal is to get my IFR Certification. I would recommend anyone who wants to learn to fly to take your course. I have attached a picture of me with my CFI, who is wonderful, after I passed check ride. Thank you

The Best Material. The Best Instructors. The BEST Private Ground School on the Market! DON’T BOTHER with any other ground school!When choosing a private pilot ground school, my goal was to find the best, most comprehensive program on the market. Being the nerd I am, I wanted to learn as much as I could about every facet of flying. I also wanted to do as much self-study as possible so that I could save money on ground school costs with my CFI. I spent many hours not only researching all of the different ground school companies, but reaching out and speaking to them as well. From beginning to end, Rod Machado and his ground school course were far and away the best. Mr. Machado PERSONALLY responded to my email within an hour and not only answered all of my questions about his ground school, but provided me links to several other helpful articles as well; the other companies either had me talk to a call-center rep or did not respond at all. I signed up for Mr. Machado’s course as soon as he responded and never looked back. I cannot say enough good things about the course. It has all of the information you could possibly need (and MORE!) for your written exam and the oral portion of the checkride. I scored a 98% on the written exam (and I maintain the one question I missed was bogus). And, perhaps even more significantly, I was able to save a LOT of money on my training. I was always over-prepared for my ground school sessions because of how thorough Mr. Machado’s course is, so I did not have to waste time learning ground knowledge with my instructor while his clock was ticking. The ground portion of my checkride was also a TOTAL breeze. So many of my friends complain about how difficult the oral exam portion of their checkride was, but it was a walk in the park for me because Mr. Machado’s course covers everything. In addition to covering everything, Mr. Machado’s course explains everything in a way that is intuitive and easy-to-understand. I could go on for hours about how much I loved the course and how big of a role it played in helping me accomplish my lifelong dream of becoming a pilot.
